  Special Pioneer Couple Living at a Kingdom Hall In Miami FL, get the dreaded Letter

  just got a phone call from an older sister saying that a couple that got re-assigned from bethel 4 years ago to live at their kh apartment as special pioneers, just received a letter saying "as of january 2016, your special pioneer assignment will be discontinued".. they live in a south miami kh(snapper creek congregation).. this couple had only served in bethel for 15 years before they were sent out into the special pioneer work.

  they are now in their mid 50's and the sister said that they have to find part time jobs to support themselves.. the older sister (does not have a pc or internet), says that the couple are just devastated!

  also his stock share is valued at $800,000!.

  i did some research and spoke to some longtime witnesses and found out that there are 500 voting members of the society and they are also called shareholders.. has anyone ever of someone selling his share?.

  I could not find a list of all the shareholders, just the different Board Members since 1944.

  I, too, have heard (decades ago) some shareholders were not even JWs. was perplexed then and still am. Why would anyone be a shareholder, not a member of the organization (or any other such business, religion, etc

  I have bought stock from different companies throughout the years if I thought I could make a dollar or 2 regardless if I like the business or not!

  Does a brother have to be appointed an MS to be an account servant?

  as many of you know, my ex-husband was removed as an elder for child abuse.

  i was told at the time he would never be reappointed in any capacity.

  yet i heard today he was appointed as an account servant.

  i was told at the time he would never be reappointed in any capacity.

  yet i heard today he was appointed as an account servant.

  It is a non glory position since you are not out front of the congregation. since I have a history of faithful Service, the CO had no problem with it.

  Although our congregation has 6 MS and 7 Elders, none of them wanted to do the Accounts.

  So they asked me to do it, a non servant. I am going on 3 years now of doing the Accounts, still not a Servant!

  I had to Google what a cooperate member of the Watchtower Society is and found out that there is 500 of these voting members that are or were Bethelites.

  Special Pioneer Sister-in-Law and Husband just got their letter.

  well, my sister-in-law and her husband, special pioneers for only a couple of years, just got their letter.. her comment was along the lines of, "they're having to do this because they forgave all those kingdom hall loans a few years ago and the brothers aren't donating anymore.".

  when my wife told me, i laughed so hard i farted.

  I looked at 10 Kingdom Halls in our area and 9 of them had no Mortgage before the new arrangement, but had savings accounts with the Society.

  Poor management of Funds I say, not lack of Donations!
